Scrape the Vape is a concept my team created for a project for our Certificate of Biomedical Visualization and Communication. We tried to tackle a newer health issue in society that isn’t yet well understood by the population or science: vaping. We wanted to address the lesser known side effects of vaping and as our audience was teens/young adults, we opted to make videos on TikTok.

Each of my group members tackled one area of vaping and created a TikTok video – my topic was “popcorn lung”. Each person was responsible for their script and storyboard for their video and all illustrations followed the same colour palette and style to make sure the illustrations we made were all on the same page: textured, noisy and artistic. Then did the final animation in After Effects.
