In collaboration with Tadwein for Gender Studies and Shemsi (period underwear), I created a series of social media posts for their campaign focused on menstrual hygiene management. The primary objective of the campaign was to raise awareness about menstrual health and combat the stigma surrounding menstruation in Egypt, where it remains a taboo subject often shrouded in embarrassment and shame.

I was responsible for creating engaging illustrations and informative social media content (in Arabic) designed to educate the public about menstrual hygiene and normalize conversations around periods. Additionally, I created a pattern design and conference materials. This campaign was posted to Instagram (@tadwein_gender_studies) and Facebook and included a series of posts featuring:

  • Educational infographics with simplified information about menstrual health, the importance of hygiene, and how to manage periods effectively.
  • Personal stories sharing real-life experiences from women who have faced challenges related to menstrual stigma, fostering a sense of community and support.
  • Content addressing common myths and misconceptions about menstruation to promote accurate knowledge and understanding.

Through this project, I successfully helped create a cohesive and impactful digital presence for Tadwein and Shemsi’s campaign in which we educated the audience and sparked dialogue, challenging societal norms and reducing the stigma associated with menstruation.
